Beta tester guide

Cool your home on timing, not AC.

What Thresho does

Thresho tells you the right moment to open or close your windows to keep your home cool without reaching for the AC. It reads your local forecast, predicts when the outdoor temperature crosses your comfort thresholds, and tells you the moment to act.

When the air outside is unhealthy, it holds the open-windows alert so you are never invited to let bad air in.

No account required. Thresho collects anonymous usage to improve alert timing, and you can turn it off in Settings. Free beta, iPhone, US only.

What you need

  • An iPhone on iOS 17 or later.
  • A home in the US.

How to join

  1. Install TestFlight (free) from the App Store. TestFlight is Apple's app for trying betas.
  2. On your iPhone, open the beta link: https://testflight.apple.com/join/J8HPyFnZ
  3. Tap Accept, then Install.
  4. Open Thresho, grant location and notifications, and set your home.

Your first run

Grant location (used to fetch your local forecast, never tracked), review your forecast, confirm your open and close rules, and turn on notifications. That is it. Thresho does the watching.

What we would love you to test

  • Setup. Did onboarding make sense? Could you grant location and notifications without getting stuck?
  • The glance test. Open the app. Within a couple of seconds, can you tell what to do: open, close, or wait?
  • The alerts. Did they actually arrive, and did they come a little before the change, with enough notice to act? Reliability here matters most to us.
  • Acting on it. Did you open or close when Thresho told you to, and how often? This is the single most useful thing you can tell us.
  • The payoff. When you acted, did your home actually feel cooler or stay ahead of the heat?
  • Anything else. Anything confusing, slow, or wrong, and any crash.

How to send feedback

  • In TestFlight, take a screenshot and attach a short note. That is the fastest way to flag a bug.
  • Or email [email protected]. Short notes are perfect. We read everything.

One note on safety

Forecasts can be wrong, delayed, or unavailable, so always check the real conditions outside and use your own judgment. Please do not rely on Thresho for health, safety, or emergency decisions, especially during extreme heat.
